About Elisabet

Eilzabet1Many generations of restless blood runs in Elisabet’s veins.  Born in a suburb of Copenhagen, Elisabet Leibølle, is the firstborn child of two teachers, who chose simplicity and stability over the fantastic experiments and material dreams that otherwise characterized that season of Danish history.  Her father had survived escaping Prussia and years in a German ‘displaced-persons’ camp, and her mother harsh poverty, which killed three of her siblings.  But a child of the flowering sixties and seventies, their daughter didn’t appreciate the value of these survival skills till much later.

Having explored the New Age labyrinths of spirituality, politics, and performing art’s, she finally found a home in the arms of Jesus at the age of 23.  A year later, her Lord asked her to exchange her life as a flamenco-dancer for His adventure, no details provided.  Their agreement was that instead of the fire and beauty of dance, He would make her an ambassador of His passion, freedom, and joy.  Leaving her country and her identity as a lesbian behind, it has been her life’s pursuit ever since.  It is the heartbeat of her endeavors.

Today, Elisabet is the grateful wife of Robert, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Miami Beach, and the mother of David and Serenity.  She leads the women’s ministry, Oasis, at her church and homeschools her teens.  This, and life with a busy husband, add up to a deep daily dependence on God’s wisdom, strength and sanity.  These are the mines where new beauties of God’s unfailing goodness and unwavering involvement are continually discovered.

Isa 61:3  “To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”

  1. Because you were loyal and faithful to the Lord, He kept His promise. You reach out to hurting women, make us feel loved and we are comforted by that love. As for myself, most people don’t understand me and I was told off a few times when I got upset. They took my distress personal thinking I was yelling at them when I wasn’t.
You on the other hand comfort us not even knowing of our problems but seeing them through the Spirit. You reach out with open arms. I thank God for your love and faithfulness. We need more women in the body of Christ like you. Elizabet, you’re my mentor. Thank you so very much for all you do from the heart, for each and every one of us.

  3. Your’s was the first smiling face we encountered upon walking the campus at the Church of the Rez. Searching for the office, we found you leaning against a pole, knees tucked under your chin, Bible in hand, barefoot, flowing skirt, having “quiet time” with our Lord. How graciously you embraced us and lead us to the YWAM office. I will never forget that day, ever.

  4. I can not explain how your testimony and openly candid approach has not only helped me but has shown me that is exactly where the Lord wants us. From the first day I heard you speak to every week I am able to attend oasis you are a true inspiration. Thank you for helping me without even knowing it.
May the Lord continue to give you the strength to share your power message everywhere.
